جاء قرار قطع السعودية ومصر والإمارات والبحرين، الاثنين، لعلاقاتها الدبلوماسية مع قطر متزامنا مع قرارات أخرى تخص إغلاق الحدود وعبور المواطنين وإغلاق المنافذ البحرية والجوية.
وأوضح بيان نقلته وكالة الأنباء السعودية أنه إنفاذا للقرار يمنع على المواطنين السعوديين السفر إلى دولة قطر، أو الإقامة فيها، أو المرور عبرها، وعلى المقيمين والزائرين منهم سرعة المغادرة خلال مدة لا تتجاوز 14 يوماً.
وأوضح بيان نقلته وكالة الأنباء السعودية أنه إنفاذا للقرار يمنع على المواطنين السعوديين السفر إلى دولة قطر، أو الإقامة فيها، أو المرور عبرها، وعلى المقيمين والزائرين منهم سرعة المغادرة خلال مدة لا تتجاوز 14 يوماً.
وأعلنت السعودية البدء بالإجراءات القانونية الفورية للتفاهم مع الدول الشقيقة والصديقة والشركات الدولية لتطبيق ذات الإجراء بأسرع وقت ممكن لكافة وسائل النقل من وإلى دولة قطر، وذلك لأسباب تتعلق بالأمن الوطني السعودي.
وفي البيان الصادر، أكدت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وقوفها إلى جانب البحرين والسعودية فيما يتعلق بإقفال الحدود الجوية والبرية أمام قطر، وأعلنت إغلاق كافة المنافذ البحرية والجوية خلال 24 ساعة أمام الحركة القادمة والمغادرة إلى قطر ومنع العبور لوسائل النقل القطرية كافة القادمة والمغادرة واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية والتفاهم مع الدول الصديقة والشركات الدولية بخصوص عبورهم بالأجواء والمياه الإقليمية الإماراتية من وإلى قطر، وذلك لأسباب تتعلق بالأمن الوطني الإماراتي.
ومن شأن إقفال الحدود تعطيل الكثير من المصالح القطرية مع جارتها السعودية، ومع بقية دول الخليج العربية التي ينفذ القطريون إليها من خلال السعودية، إن على صعيد الأفراد أو على صعيد المؤسسات والشركات التجارية.
وتشير الأرقام إلى أن معبر أبو سمرة الحدودي بين قطر والسعودية استقبل أكثر من 326 ألف زائر فقط خلال الفترة من 10 يناير إلى 5 فبراير الماضي.
ويشهد المعبر يوميا عبور ما بين 600-800 شاحنة.
أما بالنسبة لتأثير القرار على الخطوط القطرية، فيبدو واضحا إذا علمنا حجم الرحلات اليومية بين الدوحة والمدن الخليجية وهي على سبيل المثال 19 رحلة يوميا من مطار دبي الدولي، و6 من مطار أبوظبي، ومثلها من مطار الكويت، و5 من المنامة، و3-5 من جدة و4 من الرياض.
واستقبل مطار الدوحة 37.3 مليون مسافر عام 2016، بزيادة نحو 7 ملايين مسافر عن عام 2015.
